Utilizing bundling and Tray packing equipment solutions streamlines secondary packaging requirements and reduces packaging material costs. The two segmented solutions typically go hand in hand. Providing opportunities to reduce corrugated from a tray rather than an RSC or HSC case. This packaging approach can only be utilized if the containers can support their own weight while palletized. This approach is also ideal to satisfy large retail box stores in eliminating redundant material waste. This equipment approach typically supports rigid containers (cans, cartons, bags, glass, or PET). Containers or cartons are collated into the desired pack pattern. The pack pattern is loaded either intermittently or continuously into a cardboard tray, sealing with glue. The tray can then be bundled (over wrapped) with film, securing the product within the tray for transportation. The film structure can be applied to the tray as registered or non-registered film (artwork). Film is then shrunk around the package using an integrated heat tunnel. Another Cost savings reduction is to utilize film to wrap a frozen or fresh food item. This seals the product, typically hermetically. This approach protects the product in transport. Product is feed into these machine by hand or automatically conveyor using a smart belt or flighted conveyor. Within these segments of equipment there are several options related best to your project. Some of these segments include, unsupported bundling, pad bundling, bulls eye bundling, etc. Plant Automation Group is happy to review your options and offer solutions best suited for your future success.
