Janet Morse – VP of Operations

In 2021, Sonny’s Car Wash Chemistry embarked on the challenge of building a new state-of-the-art chemical production facility to produce an array of products for the commercial car wash industry. At the time, we had limited in-house large-scale production expertise, and we were looking to increase our production capacity by several fold. After gathering packaging line quotes from multiple companies, we decided to partner with Plant Automation Group because our companies both believe strongly in adding value through customer service and building long-term relationships. Plant Automation Group was not the lowest bidder but rather provided us with the best fit. They do not specialize in designing and building what you need entirely from scratch but rather specialize in helping bring a complete solution to life, often leveraging their relationships with experts to use a combination of industry-tested solutions. Sonny’s Car Wash Chemistry products are primarily packaged in 2 forms- plastic drums and boxes of two, 2 ½ gal bottles. Ultimately, PAG partnered with us to install 2 semi-automatic drum filling machines and two fully automatic small packaging lines. The drum fillers reduced the needed manpower by 33% while drastically improving output, while the small packaging lines tripled our capacity at approximately the same headcount requirement and eliminated several safety concerns. During the worse supply chain challenges most of us have ever seen, the project was completed on-time and in-budget, a seemingly impossible feat. Patrick and the PAG team have been very supportive in helping us through the inevitable start-up hiccups, ensuring we have been able to continue to produce our products.

I would recommend Patrick and the Plant Automation Group to anyone looking to install semi-automatic or fully automatic packaging lines, but especially if your team has limited in-house expertise. Having the PAG team experts to help you see and address issues before they become fires is critical to keeping a project on-time and in-budget.

    A message from our founder

Joe Sciullo – Chief Operating Officer

SDC Nutrition is a contract manufacturer of powder and dry dose encapsulated dietary supplements since 2008. Plant Automation Group, specifically Dave Goodine has been a fundamental partner of ours as we have grown from a startup to over 100,000 sq. ft. facility with multiple packaging lines. We would consider PAG more of a consultant than a vendor because they are so knowledgeable, we rarely have to do any of our own research at all to find the right solution to satisfy our Capex and automation needs. Dave is always available for a quick call and knows the right equipment to solve our problems in our price range without hesitation. We have purchased multiple pieces of equipment from PAG over the years without any issues whatsoever. We do not even think to contact anyone else at this point because the risk is too high to forgo this level of service and knowledge from any other provider.

We here at Bison Laboratories, Inc. have been contract packaging various chemicals for the swimming pool and water treatment industries since 1946. I had the pleasure of working with Patrick Coakley and PAG over the past five years. Patrick put together a fantastic filling line to satisfy our growing gallon bottle market. We went from very antiquated filling equipment to a state-of-the-art line. We have continued to work together through the years and have a couple of projects that we’re looking at move forward. I would highly recommend PAG to anyone looking at packaging equipment.

    Karmann Henderson

My name is Karmann Henderson, a Facility Management Professional for 2 facilities in Baltimore MD.

I have worked with Dave Goodine and the awesome PAG team for just about 20 years and they have always come through for us when time, money, and solutions have been critical for business.

We are in the Bio Science business.  We are doing our part to keep the public safe and coordination with our vendors is essential.  Dave Goodine & PAG understand the importance of lead times, accuracy, risk, safety, and precision. I have been in the industry for over 20 years not only as an FMP but an auditor as well and PAG has been consistent period.

A few of our success stories have been working with automation starting back in 2004.  We were having issues with ergonomics and meeting customers ship dates.  So I started to focus on our staff needs and customers’ outputs.  I called Dave Goodine of PAG (awesome) for a few solutions and he came through big time with automation suggestions, visits onsite, cost reduction ideas, and held our hands until we were comfortable. We continue to use their guidance today because service is the key and they do it right!  PAG has been our only point of contact for our automation needs and challenges for our company. The same service I experienced in 2004 resonates today in 2020 and beyond for sure.  (PAG) awesome thanks  Dave Goodine and the PAG team

I would absolutely recommend PAG to any company that needs great service and a staff that knows what they are talking about.  A good point I would like to make is automation is what they DO.

THANKS Dave Goodine awesome to work with you and we look forward to working with PAG more.

For as long as I have been with Vanns Spices, we have worked with Dave, so for at least the last 13 years. He has been an invaluable resource to help troubleshoot issues, find solutions to automate new products and help streamline current processes. Dave always makes himself available either in person, phone, or email to talk through whatever project is going on. Quick turnaround and service are cornerstones of PAG. Always thoughtful with strong character, I would certainly recommend working with Dave.

I have worked with John Carvalho for about 5 years. We manufacture Tortilla Chips and have been in this industry of just over 5 years. We worked with John Carvalho on getting a packaging machine to handle the speed we needed with the space restrictions that were quite a challenge for our facility. John found a company that had the solution for us. John met us in Philadelphia to drive us to meet the staff and see the equipment in their facility. It was a great experience and everyone we met were great. They designed a machine for us and we have been using it for several years and we are very pleased with its performance. John Carvalho has always been available when needed, via email or a phone call. Anytime we have questions on a project, John is right there at our facility to review what we need. John is very honest and upfront with everything we talk about. That is much appreciated! I would absolutely recommend John and his team with PAG.
