Beverage automation is a large segment of our focus. We support all traditional beverage companies including the beer, wine and liquor industries. The cosmetic industry has always been a growing segment and key point of interest for several high priority projects throughout the northeastern United States. With ever-growing market trends and the demand cosmetic companies face in producing products in the United States. With the extended growth in all-natural products, this industry segment has never been stronger. Plant Automation Group has been a part of several cosmetic systems throughout the years ranging from moderate to high-speed applications. These would range from a simple soap or shampoo system, through the multi-component complex assembly. Cosmetic products utilizing several types of packages from tubes, bottles, cartons, blister packs, pumps, sprays, and aerosol cans. Applications within this segment would include, lip balms, shampoos and conditioners, cosmetics, face masks, creams, oils, coco butter, essential oils, hair coloring, hair paste and gels, toiletries, toothpaste, mouthwash, mints and gums, dental floss, colognes, perfumes, and fragrances.
The Pharmaceutical industry is a serious, dedicated, and structured segment of the market for Plant Automation Group. Projects often focus on tablet or capsule manufacturing, typically supporting prescription drug manufacturing. The heart of our company revolves around supporting food manufacturing companies. Typically products need physical protection or the enclosure of a food item. Our Expertise starts with filling or loading a food item into a rigid container or a flexible package. Sealing or closing the filled product, often injecting nitrogen or providing modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) to extend the shelf life. All equipment is built to specific container per minute (CPM) rates supporting yearly production requirements for a food brand or contract manufacture. A never-ending focus for automation continues across all industrial industry applications. Typically supporting difficult, high viscosity products. Often flammable components, requiring explosion proof certifications (C1D1, C1D2, C2D2). This is an industry segment where Plant Automation Group has extensive experience based around liquid’s, epoxies, powders, paints, oils, lubricants, automotive, stains, chemicals, bleach, pesticides, home and garden, household cleaners, and petrochemicals. This segment of the industry is vast and typically harsh. Plant Automation Group has been called to support some of the United States largest oil and petrochemical companies for both retail and industrial bulk packaged lubricants. These would include a standard 16-ounce F style motor oil container through automation of 55-gallon drum filling systems. Plant Automation Group also has a large focus within Pesticides and home and garden or household cleaners. Supporting fully automatic liquid filling lines from 30 through 150 containers a minute. Offering solutions across various rigid container sizes, from 8 ounces through 10-gallon liquids. Automatic trigger sprayer inserting systems as well as zero downtime labeling solutions provide our customers with fully automatic multi shift production advantages to meet today’s large box store volume requirements. Typical containers/components to include: multiple size PET / HDPE pails, metal pails, metal crimp lidding, plastic pail lidding, bail handle control, round gallon containers, square, aerosols, triggers and pump sprayers, drums, and totes (IBC), carboys (2 1/5 gallons).
As a large portion of our business is generated around powder (free-flowing or non- free flowing) or granule filling, Plant Automation Group offers a true edge in any powder filling application. From bulk processing mixing and blending (major and minor Ingredients). Capsule and tablet encapsulating or pressing and through fully automatic complex powder filling lines utilizing intermittent or continuous motion solutions. The protein powder and health supplement industry has been growing for several years with what seems to be no end in sight. Plant Automation Group has been called upon to automate several protein facilities over the years supporting both small rigid PET containers through large rigid 10 to 15-pound containers, running at speeds upwards of 50 containers a minute. A growing market for protein powders is now utilizing premade pouches with resealable zippers. Several solutions are available in this market based around volume and expectations. Plant Automation Group regularly supports manufacturers in the dietary supplement business and vitamin industry. This also includes minerals, herbs, cannabis, CBD, CBD oils, extracts, softgels, gelcaps, for both liquids and powders. .
